Reginald Craig Obituary

EARLEVILLE - Reginald J. Craig, 85, of Earleville, MD passed away on October 2, 2018 at Elkton Transitional Care Center.
Reggie was born on Oct. 4, 1932, son of the late Ervin and Martha Jane Taylor Craig. He was born and raised in Cecilton and was a graduate of Chesapeake City High School. He has worked as a farmer for Harry Davis and James Bayard and has lived on Ordinary Point Farm since 1963, where he raised his family. Reggie also worked for 18 years as a carpenter at Georgetown Yacht Basin. He was a life member of Cecilton V.F.C and loved hunting.
He was a Gold Star grandfather and was preceded in death by CPL Brandon Craig; and his brothers: Porter, Lou and Robert Craig.
Mr. Craig is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Jane Pierce Craig; their sons: Terry (Leila); Joey (Louise); Danny (Janie); a daughter, Joanne Walenga (Craig); grandchildren: Christa Gregg, Cindy Clugston, Theresa Craig, Ryan Craig, Amber Rea, Autumn Tokash and Allison Cario, Heather Wheeler, Becky Walenga; and 12 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, October 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at 11 a.m. Burial in Zion Cemetery Cecilton, MD.

To the entire Craig family so sorry I was unable to attend the service of your beloved one Reginald Craig due to taking care of my mother suffering from Alzheimer's herself so I can relate to the ups and downs of the disease and the effects plus the toll it takes on the caregivers. Nancy my heart goes out to you if there is anything at all I can do for you please dont hesitate to call me Mary Frazer at 410-708-2381. To your children and they're wives especially Joey whom I know best my sympathies to you I'm sorry for the pain in your heart I know how it feels due to the pain I felt in my heart when I lost my father in 1996. I am very sorry to hear the news. Reggie was always super nice to me and my son and we always enjoyed talking with him about the history of the farm and hunting. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
