Robyn Sherrard Obituary
Freedom Hills TRP lost one of our founders, a faithful instructor, but most of all a friend and a sister. In 1982 Robyn quickly joined her sister, Renee, in starting the Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Program. Robyn volunteered tirelessly for decades helping people find freedom through horses. There are so many stories to be told, some of which are as follows. Robyn had a jar in her office entitled, "Ashes of Ornery Teenagers." Stories such as Seth spinning in her office chair because he had to spend time with Miss Robyn again. Lucas informing Miss Robyn "no one will let me play on the playground". Miss Robyn loved everyone and will be greatly missed.
Robyn is survived by her husband, Harry Jackson; sister, Renee Sherrard Dixon; nephew, Alex Luther; niece, Ellie Luther Horah; and great niece, Felicity Horah.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Program in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. All contributions will go towards building a wheelchair-accessible playground and a flower garden in honor of Miss Robyn, as well as Vickie and Roger Hucker.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, 2 PM, at the Jerry Skrivanek V.F.W. Post No. 8185, Port Deposit, MD.
