Shirley Ann Thomas, 82 years, of Quarryville, PA, formerly of Conowingo, MD, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 in the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community of Quarryville, PA. Born April 25, 1943 in West Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Patrick and Frances Webb Johnson.

Shirley was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. She was formerly employed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD.

Shirley is survived by her son, Kevin Thomas; daughters, Denise Tollinger (Leo) and Shannon Absher (Steve); grandchildren, Lorraine, Shianne, Hunter, Garrett, Casey, and Makayla; and great grandchildren, Colton, Adaline, Weston, and Ella.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald F. Thomas; brothers, John Johnson and William Johnson; and sister, Lynne Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation, Inc., in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Associate Pastor Chris Engelberth of the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
