Travis Coker Obituary

Travis J. Coker, 53 passed away on Sunday, September 28th, 2025.

Born March 12, 1972 in Austin, TX, he was the son of Janie Holley Coker and the late Joe Buck Coker.

Travis was a self made man. He was a highly skilled carpenter, and built a successful home improvement construction business, Mount Joy Company. He prided himself on completing excellent projects for his customers.

Travis's greatest joy in life; however, was spending time with his children. He loved doing things outdoors with them, such as camping, hiking, kayaking, spending time at the beach and taking care of his chickens. Travis was a good person, with a truly kind heart, cared about people and cared about doing what was right.

Travis is survived by his 4 children: Cora Coker Hart and her husband Zach Hart, Virginia Coker, Jake Coker and Josephine Coker; his granddaughter Georgia Bee, his mother Janie Coker, his 2 siblings Thomas Coker and Danna Sturman, multiple nieces and nephews, his cousin and best friend Miles Coker and his partner Gee DiCampli.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Peters Funeral Home, Inc., 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

"In lieu of flowers, to honor Travis please consider donating to the fund to benefit his 4 children.
