Margaret Pfifer Obituary

Margaret Joanne McCrary Pfifer was born on March 24, 1940 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas McCrary and Ed Pfifer; Dad, Woodrow Wilson Briels; Mom, Violet May Bryant; Stepdad, Jack Bryant; brothers Gary Lee Briels, James Louis Briels and Thomas Briels; sister, Nancy May Hoselton; sister-in-law Sharon Briels; niece Jessica.
She is survived by her son, James L. McCrary (Lisa); daughter Kay Murr (Ronnie); brother Dale Briels; sister Debra Briels (Steve); sisters-in-law Dee Briels, Pat Briels. Grandchildren, Thomas Warren (Deborah), Ryan Warren, Amanda Robbins (Scar), Calvin McCrary, Tisha Wheatly, Chris Pfifer, Tony, Amber , Lockie. Great-grandchildren, Ieyaio Robbins, Dynami Robbins, Royal Robbins, Valerie Warren, Kennedy Warren. Cousins, Karen and Ken Lippincott, Laura, Nora, Ricky, Randy and many more relatives and friends.
Margaret liked to go to church, play cards and board games with her grandson Calvin and other relatives and friends. She also liked to watch game shows, old westerns, 48 Hours, True Stories. She enjoyed going out to eat and shopping. She also liked having get-togethers with her family.
Margaret worked in nursing homes and home health care as a Nurse's Aid. She worked in her first nursing home as a live-in employee at age 18 in Golden, Colorado. She became a Certified Nurse's Aid at Stockton Nursing Home when it was first built and did a lot of home health care with the elderly in Stockton. The last person she took care of was her grandson, Calvin who was born with a heart condition.
She had 26 and a half good years with Tom. She was very happy and had a good long life. Margaret was well loved because she loved well.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Bland Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, MO. Her Celebration of Life Service will be at Fairview Community Church in Osiris, MO on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00 A.M.
