Robert Gaumnitz Obituary
Bob worked as a Mechanical Drafter for Hawk Bilt in Vinton, Iowa. He later worked for Northside School in Herrin in the Cafeteria and on the playground.
Bob loved raising his daughter, Kaylee, as she grew up.
Bob attended the First Christian Church in Herrin, IL.
Bob was born August 10, 1956 in Sioux City, Iowa to Arnold & Marian (Fischer) Gaumnitz.
Bob married Julie A. Massey on June 1, 1985 in Columbus Junction, Iowa. She survives him at their home in Herrin.
He is also survived by his daughter, Kaylee Gaumnitz of San Marcos, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca & Douglas Neve of Jacksonville, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Jennifer Gaumnitz of Lenexa, KS; sister-in-law and brother-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wish's cremation will take place. A memorial service will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral home with Rev. Eric Lam officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
