I was John's 7th and 8th grade teacher at Piedmont Christian School. John was always so funny and was such a nice boy. I enjoyed having him in my class. Prayers for you all. I was very sad to see this.

John, I am your cousin, Mary R. Jones. I would see you and your sister Angie when my husband and I went to visit your grandmother, Aunt Addie and your mother, Shirley. I remember you as a darling little boy.

As kids I think I spent more nights at your house than I did mine. We got to stay up late and you showed me the joys of SNL. Even today I remember the fan had to be on (just right) light on (just like your dad) before we could sleep. I'm sorry we grew apart and I had to move away. I thought about you often and always will.

You probably wouldn't believe me, but you've crossed my mind many times since I left 1013. John you are the truest person I've ever met, you were always 100% you, and unknowingly made an impact on every person you worked with. Whether it was your hilarious attitude or honorable dedication to your job, you made your mark, everyone knows who you are. They all miss you. Thank you for everything, rest well John.
