Alice R. Decker Yeager

Alice R. Decker Yeager February 26, 1933 - April 21, 2008 Alice R. Decker Yeager, age 75, formerly of Chambersburg, died Monday April 21, 2008 at the Shook Home, Chambersburg, Pa. On September 23, 1958 she married Wilbur C. Yeager who passed away, February 12, 2004. Born February 26, 1933 in Centre Hall, Pa., she was a daughter of the late C. LaRue and Celia A. (Delaney) Decker. She was a 1952 graduate of Centre Hall Potter High School and was a 1955 Graduate of the Chambersburg School of Practical Nursing. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Chambersburg Hospital for over thirty years as an L.P.N. and Operating Room Technician. Surviving are two sons; Gary C. and wife Carolyn Yeager of Chambersburg, Brian W. Yeager of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Jack C. and Camryn E. Yeager; nine brothers and sisters; Dorothy Bonson of Pleasant Gap, Pa, Mary Frosburg of Sanger, TX, Renna Shetler of Berkley Springs, W.V., James Decker of Baltimore, Md., Grace Hall of Milesburg, Pa., Warren Decker of Centre Hall, Pa., Charles Decker of Chambersburg, Pa., Glenn Decker of Zion, Pa., Wanda Hockenberry of Centre Hall, Pa., as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Cramer. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Pa., with the Rev. Ray Kauffman. Interment will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shook Home, 55 S 2nd St. Chambersburg, PA 17201.
