Brian Ebright Obituary

Brian A. Ebright December 6, 1983 - December 16, 2005 Brian A. Ebright, 22, of South Hanover Township, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2005, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Philadelphia. Born in Harrisburg on Dec. 6, 1983, he was the son of Paul A. and Linda Freed Ebright, of South Hanover Township. Brian was a Dean's List student in Finance in the Smeal College of Business, Penn State University, University Park, where he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Business Fraternity and the Ski Team. He was a 2002 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, where he played on the soccer and volleyball teams. Brian was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown. He was an avid skier. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sarah E. Ebright, at home; his maternal grandfather, Sterlen S. Freed, of West Hanover Township; two aunts, Peggy A. Manley, wife of Norman Manley, of Palm Coast, Fla. and Marcia E. Freed, wife of Matthew Dankman, of Harrisburg; and several cousins. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at 11 a.m., in Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St., Hummelstown, with The Rev. Dr. John W. Betlyon, his pastor, officiating. Friends will be received following the service in the church's Fellowship Hall. Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 W. Main St., Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St., Hummelstown, PA 17036 or in memory of Brian's cousin, Hope Manley, to the Northeast PA Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1541 Alta Drive, Suite 102, Whitehall, PA 18052. www.trefzandbowser.com

Brian was one of the most polite and fun people I have ever met. I will always remember our fishing trips together and him and his cousin Luke's "rock, paper, scissors" competitions for the air mattress down at the beach. We all love him and miss him!

Brian worked for me as an intern in the summer of 2004. We have stayed in touch since then.
