He suffered his final heart attack while sitting at his kitchen table enjoying his morning cup of coffee. Charlie was born on December 9, 1926 to Joseph and Margaret Post Quinn in Mahanoy City, a small coal town in Skulkyll County. He built his own home in Pine Grove Mills on Deepwood Dr. He was very proud of this house. He went on to own many local restaurants in the 1960's and 1970's. The Futura, College Kitchen, Freezer Fresh and Charlie's Place were some of his endeavors. Charlie was a member of OLV Catholic Church. Charlie was a member of the State College VFW. Pastor Jonathon Weibel will officiate. He will be interred in Mahanoy City at the convenience of the family. I spent many hours with Charlie and Rose as a student at PSU and on later academic visits to State College. Rose and his brother Jack and I were classmates and graduated together from MCHS. Charlie had a gift of making everyone feel welcome. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
