Dorothy L. "Dot" Beckwith

Dorothy L. 'Dot' Beckwith July 27, 1941 - June 6, 2011 Dorothy L. "Dot" Beckwith, 69, of Port Matilda went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 6, 2011, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1941, in Philipsburg, a daughter of John Alfred and Ruth Loviana (Mostyn) Bryan. On March 16, 1963, at Hannah United Methodist Church, Port Matilda, she married Richard W. Beckwith. Surviving are her husband; daughter, Lori Nedrich and husband, Chris, of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; son Stephen Wayne and wife, Betsy, of Port Matilda; four grandchildren, Stephenie and Jared Beckwith, Brooke and Morghan Nedrich; an sister, Mary E. Harpster and husband, Joseph, of Port Matilda. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Diehl and a brother, Donald W. Bryan. Mrs. Beckwith was a member of the Hannah United Methodist Church and the Woman's Society of the church. She retired in 2009 from Josten's Printing and Publishing, State College as paste up operator following over 20 years of service. She previously employed at Erie Technical Ceramics, State College for 10 years. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed all her family and many friends. She loved to travel, play bingo, and attend the Grange Fair. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Hannah Methodist Church with Rev. Clair Pannebaker and Rev. Sam Reese officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday at the Feller Memorial Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
