State College, Pennsylvania - Edna S. Bicehouse of State College, PA, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born October 23, 1942, in Warren, PA, daughter to the late Kenneth and Susie (Kibbe) Franklin. She married Wayne A. Bicehouse on June 17, 1967, who survives. Edna dedicated her life to her family and nurturing the minds and spirits of children.

Edna grew up in Irvine, PA and graduated from Youngsville High School, Class of 1960. She then attended Edinboro University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education in 1964. Edna continued coursework at Slippery Rock University to earn advanced credits in education. She taught Special Education in Sharpsville, PA, before moving to the State College Area School District, where she taught Elementary Education for 25 years (Easterly Parkway and Corl Street Elementary schools). Edna's professional career was an example of her dedication to children's growth and education.

She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed the Women's Guild. Throughout her life, Edna participated in Bible study groups and cherished the relationships she made. Edna was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was honored with a 50-year pin in recognition of her half-century of dedication and involvement.

Her marriage of 58 years was a testament of lifelong partnership and commitment. Edna's greatest joys were time spent with her family and friends. Regular gatherings with the retired teacher crew from Corl Street Elementary were a source of laughter and camaraderie.
