Millheim, Pennsylvania - Janet P. Cantolina, 72, of Millheim, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Born on February 8, 1952, in Algonquin, IL, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clarabelle (McManomy) Root. On July 11, 2009, she married her beloved husband, Dino Patrick Cantolina, who survives at home after sharing nearly 15 years of marriage together.

Janet was a 1970 graduate of Tyrone High School. She worked as a Janitor for Penn State University for 35 years until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, Dino, she is survived by her children, Joseph Grassmyer, and Saundra Snook (Tommy), both of Millheim, and stepsons, Alfred Cantolina and Michael Cantolina (Ashley), both of State College, three grandchildren, Jolene, Alyssa, and Tomi, and two step grandchildren, Donavon and Taylor.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a stepson, Jeremy Cantolina, and a sister, Shirley Haney.

Janet also worked as a waitress for several years at the Boalsburg Steakhouse, and enjoyed getting a chance to chat with people who were dining out. She looked forward to the Grange Fair each year and going to Florida to visit her lifelong friend, Penny. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind countless memories that will forever be cherished by her loved ones.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Doug Conway officiating. Burial services will immediately follow at Zion Cemetery in Bellefonte.
