Jean L. Muthersbaugh

Jean L. Muthersbaugh October 5, 1930 July 16, 2017 Jean L. Muthersbaugh, 86, of Centre Hall, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on October 5, 1930, in Coyler, she was the daughter of the late Sterile and Dorothy Fohringer Stoner. Jean was a life member of the Tusseyville Bethany United Methodist Church. She was a 1948 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter High School. She was a bookkeeper at the Pennsylvania State University, retiring in 1990, after 30 years of service. Jean enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She was always available to help others in the community. The church was very important to Jean and she was very involved with the activities there. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean is survived by her two sons: Jackie L. Muthersbaugh, Sr. and his wife, Mary, and Randy W. Muthersbaugh and his wife, Sandra, both of Centre Hall; seven grandchildren: Jackie Muthersbaugh, Jr., Jann Dalanksy and her husband, Stephen, Jeremy Muthersbaugh and his wife, Jen, Jason Muthersbaugh and his wife, Brandy, Jacob Muthersbaugh, Jenny Muthersbaugh, and Jared Muthersbaugh; and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving Jean are her two brothers: William Stoner and his wife, Sharon and Thomas Stoner and his wife, Nancy, both of Centre Hall; one sister, Joann Krick, of McAlisterville; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Polly Jo Baer; one brother, Richard Stoner; and one sister, Shirley Rider. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at the Tusseyville Bethany United Methodist Church, 208 Church Hill Rd., Centre Hall (Colyer). Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon at the church with Pastor Theresa Heiser officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Hill Cemetery in Colyer.
