John R. Younker Sr.

John Robert Younker Sr. March 24, 1950 September 17, 2017 John Robert Younker, Sr., 67, of Huntingdon, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at his residence. Born March 24, 1950, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Robert Harry and Betty Ann Couch Younker. John is survived by two children, John Robert Younker, Jr., of Huntingdon and Heather M. Himes and her husband, Glenn, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Dennis Ray Younker and his wife, Betty, and a sister, Cindy Ann Younker, both of Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Mason Aaron Younker, Lacrisha Fye, Kylie Lelia Himes and Holden Glenn Himes; and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Rae Fye. John worked as a supervisor in the construction industry for both Glenn O. Hawbaker and New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. He was a member of State College Lodge #700 F & AM, Centre Forrest #129 of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Huntingdon Moose Family Center #223, American Legion Post #245 of State College, Highlands Chapter #55 of A.B.A.T.E. and was a life member of the Mill Creek Fire Company. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.
