Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania - Lynn H. Rider, a resident of the Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg, PA (previously of Stormstown), went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, December 31, 2021. Born September 5, 1926, in Marengo, he was the son of the late Luther Rider and Florence Gates Rider. On July 29, 1950, he married A. Immelda Rider who preceded him in death on October 4, 2011. He is survived by five children, Linda L. Files and her husband John of Petersburg, Richard H. Rider and his wife Vicki of Port Matilda, Vickie L. Billett of Delmont, Cheryl A. Grubb and her husband Chip of Stormstown, and Kimberly S. Lieb and her husband Robert of Port Matilda. Shorty is survived by thirteen grandchildren (one deceased) and sixteen great-grandchildren, Shorty was preceded in death by two brothers Howard Rider, Marengo, and John Rider, Marengo, and two sisters Betty Hammond, Boalsburg, and Dorothy Miller of Lemont. He is survived by David Rider, Bellwood, Larry Rider, Marengo, and Joyce Brown, Centre Crest. Shorty was a veteran of World War II and served with the South Pacific campaign. He was a life member of the Pine Grove V.F.W. #5825; Halfmoon Christian Fellowship Church; Halfmoon Senior Citizens Club; Halfmoon Grange and served as a board member for the Centre County Grange Fair in Centre Hall. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the Bruce E Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark.
