Mae Summers Obituary

Mae Louise Summers October 18, 1927 December 7, 2017 Mae Louise Summers, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, in Bellefonte. Mae was born on October 18, 1927, in Wingate, a daughter of the late Zachariah and Beatrice Estright Summers. Mae was a 1945 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was a secretary for Cerro Metal Products in Bellefonte before her retirement. She was a member of Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church, Lady Emily Rebekah Lodge #452, Eastern Star of Bellefonte Chapter #350, and Crystal Spring Rebekah Lodge #2. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Irene Summers. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, College Township, Centre County, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bald Eagle Valley United Methodist Church, 111 Runville Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823 in memory of Mae L. Summers. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Online condolences may be made at www.deankwetzlerfuneralhome.com

Sorry to learn of Mae's passing. She was my first role model and inspiration in my childhood. She taught me to sing in the church choir, to play the piano for Sunday School, and to love God. Rest in peace, Mae ❤
