Orene Lucy Tartt Whiteside - Orene Lucy Tartt Whiteside, 95, of Troy, Ala., died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, at the Troy Regional Medical Center. She is survived by a son, James A. Whiteside MD, and his wife, Edith C. Whiteside, of Troy, Ala.; grandchildren, James Alan Whiteside and his wife, Mary, of Plano, Texas, Gary Randolph Whiteside and his wife, Ann, of Atlanta, Jonathan Lee Whiteside and his wife, Wendy, of Knoxville, Tenn., Susan Carol Whiteside, of San Diego, and Janet Lynn Whiteside Wilson and her husband, Robert Kemp, of Pensacola, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Lisa Ann Whiteside May, and her husband, Henry, of Philadelphia, Abby Elizabeth Whiteside Kwis and her husband, Robert, of Moscow, Ind., Daniel Reid Whiteside, of Atlanta, Katie Elizabeth Whiteside, of Atlanta, Justin Bliss (Whiteside) of Nashville, Tenn., Hunter Lee Whiteside, of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert Kemper Wilson, of Pensacola, Fla., Rebecca Lynn Wilson, of Pensacola, Fla., and Christina Marie Wilson, of Pensacola, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Opie Reid Whiteside. Calling hours were held from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Dillard Funeral Home, 431 Highway 231, Troy, Ala. The funeral was held at 6 p.m. Feb. 24, in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. William "Bill" Hay of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Ala., officiating. Burial was private on Feb. 25 at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy, Ala.
