State College, Pennsylvania - Ruth Ann Brown, 86, 0f State College PA and formerly of Osceola Mills, PA died on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the home of her daughter Connie and Tim McCartney in State College, PA.
Born April 3, 1935 in Houtzdale, PA she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ruth Ann (Davis) Love. She married Norman R. Brown, Sr. on September 22, 1956 in Houtzdale, PA, he preceded her in death on May 1, 2018.
She was a member of the Osceola Mills Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star Altoona Chapter #290.
Ruth was a retired manager of the catalogue department of the Penn State Book Store and was a graduate of the former H W B High School, Woodward Township. She loved decorating, and holidays were her specialty.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman Love, William Love and Russell Love.
She is survived by: two daughters, Connie McCartney & her husband Tim of State College, PA and Linda Fetzer & her husband Tom of State College, PA; two sons, Norman R. Brown, Jr. & his wife Lorie of State College, PA and James H. Brown & his wife Melissa of State College, PA; five grandchildren, Todd Brown, Christen Lapsley, Ashley Pankiw, Chelsea Saltzer and Makayla Fetzer; and three great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Reagan and Wyatt.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Osceola Mills Presbyterian Church: with Rev. Robert Bruinooge officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills, PA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to funeral time at the church.
