Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania - Ruth A. Urbanick, 93, of Snow Shoe, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday July 7, 2022, at Centre Care. Born on June 1, 1929, in Colver, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth "Betty" (Kashuba) Prebosky. At the St. Mary's Church in Snow Shoe, on June 1, 1946, her 17th birthday, she married the love of her life, Joseph M. Urbanick, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1992.
Ruth was a homemaker and worked as a secretary at Seprish and Urbanick Coal for many years.
Ruth was a member of the Queen of Archangels Chapel in Snow Shoe. She was a very active participant in the Alter and Rosary Society and was member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time crafting and was an avid bingo player. She loved her family and friends very much.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Joseph R. Urbanick, Sr and his wife, Aggie, of Bellefonte and James W. Urbanick and his wife, Cathy, of Snow Shoe; her daughter, Betty A. Hockenbury of Snow Shoe; seven grandchildren, Karen Brooks (Jim), Kimberly Hugar (Steve), David Urbanick (Melissa), Joseph R. Urbanick, Jr (Marcy), Shelly Marshall (Robert), Donald Hockenbury (Jackie), and Daniel Hockenbury (Erin); 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Seprish of Snow Shoe.
Along with her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her great grandson, Dillon Urbanick and her brother, Walter Prebosky.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11am, at the Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Queen of Archangels Parish Church, 102 Church Street, Clarence, PA 16829.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
