December 19, 1950 - December 1, 2023
Spring Mills, Pennsylvania - Susan Ann Martin Geesey Dabby, 72, of Spring Mills, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona after a prolonged illness. She was born in Dayton OH, daughter of the late Chester Victor and Ellen Beatrice (Share) Martin.
Surviving are her husband, Lynn Bryan Slemons; two sons: Joel Martin Geesey and Mark Andrew Geesey; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four stepchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; a sister, Janet Martin Macan; one niece; and one nephew.
Susan graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1969 and from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1985. She worked at Mercy Hospital as an RN in the Telemetry Unit and ICU and then retired from Encompass Health after 21 years of service in 2021.
Susan enjoyed gardening, reading, and all things family.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6pm Saturday December 9, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

I just found out about Susan's passing- I had spent many nights working with Susan at Healthsouth and always was glad that she was there... She will be missed.

I worked with Susan for many years at Encompass, she was the epitome of what a nurse should be. Always patient, reassuring and knowledgeable. Lynn, I am sorry to hear of her passing. Take comfort in knowing how happy she was with you.

Encompass was blessed to have Susan as night shift RN for many years, she was a wonderful nurse with a beautiful soul. I´m so blessed to have worked with Susan and to have known her. She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed. Many memories will be cherished and so grateful for her kindness shown to all our patients and staff. My thoughts and prayers with Lynn and her family.
