Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - Tina Marie Gentzel, 63, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Monday, June 20, 2022. Born on January 10, 1959, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Stanley and Patricia (Corrigan) Bathgate. On May 20, 1999, in Bellefonte, she married Paul D. Gentzel, who survives at home after sharing over 23 years of marriage together.
Tina was a 1977 graduate of Bellefonte High School and then went on to graduate from South Hills School of Business & Technology in 1979. She worked as a clerk in Radiology at Mount Nittany for 38 years.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her three children, Josh D. Gentzel (Moira) of Gilbert, Arizona, Allison Saal (Ryan) of Bellefonte, and Bradley Firth (Carly) of Sandy Ridge, and five grandchildren, Lillian and Jacob Gentzel, Lincoln and Owen Saal, and Olivia Firth. Also surviving is a sister, Kimberly Fornicola (Richard) of Bellefonte, and a brother, Kevin Bathgate of Howard.
Tina was a member of the Watermark Church in Bellefonte. She would always open her home up to others and loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Tina was an avid animal lover, but especially loved Boston Terriers. She and Paul enjoyed riding their side-by-side at Rails to Trails and at her brother's camp on Gordon Road. She could often be found strolling through yard sales around the area. Tina was always cheering on the Nittany Lions on Saturdays for the football games. She and Paul would often visit Daytona Beach, where her mother had a winter home.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 â€" 11:00 A.M., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M., at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Yates officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tina's memory to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.

On this one year anniversary of Tina´s passing, I just want to share that I think of her often, a song or an event will remind me of her, our fun times spent together and it brings a smile to my face, and sometimes a tear. I will never forget her and the positive effect she had on my life. Love you always Tina

I graduated high school with Tina and also worked with her at Mount Medical Center. She was always a very sweet and cheerful person. My condolence to the family.

Paul, Kim, Kevin, Bradley-My heart is just breaking right now. Tina was such a dear friend and wonderful wife, sister, mother. She always had such a positive outlook and was just fun to be around. Over the years we shared many memories and laughs and heartaches together. She will be remembered with great love and we can take comfort in the fact that I know she is in a better place and not suffering any longer. She had great faith and trust in God. Thank you Tina for touching so many lives, RIP
