Dorothy Edwards Obituary

Dorothy J. Zook Edwards, 84, of Fisher, Illinois, joined her soulmate, Larry N. Edwards, in heaven on
Monday, September 22, 2025. Dorothy is survived by her brother Doug (Carol) Zook, of Fisher, her sister
Deborah (Bill) Maynard of Fisher, Her son Jeff (Pam) Edwards of Urbana, Il, Daughter Kim (David) Kraus,
of Florida. Additionally she is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Dorothy enjoyed doing everything with her husband of 55 years. They enjoyed many years of hunting
and fishing together. They lived and worked in Galesburg, Illinois for the majority of their married life
and then returned to Fisher, Illinois for retirement.
Dorothy was the daughter of Leta Pauline Roles Zook, and James Gilvie Zook by whom she was preceded
in death. Additionally she was preceded in death by her dear brother Steve Zook and her best
friend,soulmate and husband Larry N. Edwards of Fisher, who passed away on April 23, 2024.
Dorothy and Larry chose to be cremated so they could be interred together forever. They will be
honored in a private family only memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy and Larry
wished any memorials be made to The Shriners Childrens Hospital. Donations can be sent to their neice
Jill Walsh at 58 Buckingham Road, Chatham, IL 62629. Jill's Father was a Shriner for many years and
she is still involved in the Shriner organization.
