Donna Marriott

Donna Marriott CHARLESTON - Donna Kay Marriott, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1948, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Earl and Martha Steinkamp. Donna earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Florida Southern University. She shared nearly five decades of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert Charles Marriott, who she is now reunited with. Together, Donna and Robert owned and operated three bed and breakfasts. Donna had a true talent for baking and cake decorating. She was known to be strong-willed and do things her way. She loved big wild cats, having many encounters with them. She also had cats of her own throughout the years. She is survived by her son, Scott Marriott (Danielle); her grandchildren: Piper, Brandon, and Kalyn; her daughter in law, Sonya Marriott; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Eric Marriott; her husband, Robert Marriott; as well as her brother, Bobby Steinkamp. The family will hold a memorial service to honor Mrs. Donna Marriott life on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 5:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.
