I will always be grateful to Ed for giving me the opportunity to work with PAL and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Working at CYDC with Ed was the best and Jim and I will never forget him. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

Ed Ledford was CEO of CYDC when I started working there right out of college. Years later when I became director of Big Brothers Big Sisters, he was our liaison for our college of Social Work interns and served on the advisory council. He always attended Bowl For Kids' sake and supported the program and me in any way he could. He was a presence throughout my professional career and was great to work for and with, but also felt like a friend. He was the type of person who just made you feel loved and cared for. A true leader and mentor who lived a very full life helping children in the Lowcountry. What a great legacy he leaves behind. I am a better person for knowing him. Condolences to all who loved him.

Ed was a very loving man. He was a dear friend. I knew him for years. His late wife, Ava, supported me through a very difficult time. Years later I reconnected with him at the Senior Center. It was so good to meet Jill. Love to his family.

Ed was a wonderful neighbor and friend on Bennett Street, a champion baby-rocker at CYDC, a third grandfather to our son Grey, and a fierce poker player. We loved him dearly and send huge hugs to all the Ledfords.
