Heard was a brilliant and very interesting person, and it was an honor for to have the opportunity to work with him at IBM. I liked Heard very much and will truly miss him. RIP, Heard.

Having the Baumeister family as our neighbors at Willtown Bluff was a special part of the magic.
Heard's playing of his bagpipes reminded us of how lucky we were to be sharing friendship and that amazing place.
Your music and friendship and wise counsel will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
