I used to talk to him often when I worked at the bank (in the call center). He always asked to talk to me. I loved chatting with him. I left the bank a few years ago and I often thought of him and wanted to contact him, but didn't want to bother him. I'm saddened that I waited too long.

Henry, my sympathy in the loss of your father. During my years as a member of the SC General Assembly (72-86), I found John Gregg to be one of the finest men I've ever met as he represented many clients in matters before the Legislature. Always a man of impeccable attire, you count on him for 'honest answers' to difficult questions. He was a also a 'Southern Gentleman'...first class!
Respectfully,

While thorough, the recounting of this extraordinary life failed to mention two important attributes: his two handed set shot efficient into advanced years and regarded with awe by onlooking bystanders and his pull ups, both preformed regularly at the Y. Two great institutions transitioning at the same time. The Richland Bar has lost a lynchpin.

I remember your father, a Southern gentleman with his sporting seersucker suit and dapper straw hat, always had a gentle smile with a sincere greeting. May his legacy of professionalism, kindness and southern charm be cherished forever.

Dear Henry, George, Frank and family, I am deeply saddened by the passing of your father. He was always kind to me as I worked to become a good lawyer. GOD put him on this earth to be a good servant to all. He " ran the race well." He has now been called home to be with our merciful lord. May you find peace as you celebrate this gentle man's life. GOD BLESS. FITZ OCONNOR, JR.
