What a wonderful testament to see how many lives can be touched by one person.

“Friends are the family we Choose” ~ What a family, look how many people are here. Some you already know, some you have yet to meet, and there are even more that could not be at the Memorial for various reasons; fill in the blank _____ work, commitments, distance, plus all the reasons we can come up with for I can’t, I can’t, I can’t; it’s too hard. Truly, we did not want to be here either, not for this heartbreaking reason.

We would love to know all of you…. We loved Johnathan, John, Johnny… and would like to know the Man that you knew. I heard “He would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it more.” “He was a Loyal friend”. He shared his talents, he shared his gifts. Please, come share your stories with us.

These are the words I did not speak on Wednesday evening… I regret missing that opportunity; allow me to rectify that now. We will be at Palmetto Community Church for the 10 am service on Sunday. Please, come back and visit this “family”.

Success... To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a little bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. That is to have succeeded.

Johnathan- Everywhere i look i see your smile, your passion, your kind heart, your love for your family and your gift for conversation. Though your years were short, you made an indelible impression on all those you came across. I hope our paths cross again. Til then, rest in peace knowing your heart and soul will never be forgotten.

John you were my good friend. Now I have no friends to call on when I come to Charleston. I always looked forward to hear from you when I came to Charleston and you always gave good advice when it came to our cars. We both loved cars a lot but that prelude you had awww man I loved that car. We never had a chance to go fishing on that boat but its ok. I will miss you dear friend. Rose keep your head up, I promise if you need me I'm a phone call away. I JUST CANT BELIEVE THIS.
