Tim and I were colleagues in the Food & Beverage business dating back to the late 90's when he worked at Zebo's and I at Sermet's Corner. Tim later became one of our most appreciated customers at Lana Restaurant for many years.

Condolences from the Sermet's and Lana Families.

I met Tim in 2005. I was opening a sports style bar and grill similar to Charleston Beerworks. I was new to the town and was concerned about any animosity over being considered "competition".

Tim's reception of my arrival was overly generous and kind. He made a stranger feel welcome. I could tell immediately that he was an altruistic soul. His posture, considering when most would tend towards Darwinism, made me feel like a pessimist for expecting the worst.

I knew right away that we would be neighbors and friends. I'm glad to say that remained true for more than a decade.

I will miss him but am beyond glad to have known him.

I was surprised to hear this terrible news. My thought are with his family. I hope that peace is found. Tim was such a part of the Charleston scene setting up on King St. before the masses. I had the pleasure to be involved with both locations and will miss seeing him as I often did standing outside his location enjoying life.
Rest in peace my friend.

It's been a long time since we played baseball together buddy. Thanks for lending me your Adirondack Broadback on occasion - I could really smash those baseballs around with that beast. See you on the other side.
