Ahmad Akbari Obituary
Mr. Akbari, 69, of Charlotte, NC died Friday, July 31, 2009 surrounded by family in the hospice unit of Presbyterian Hospital. He was born September 10, 1939 in Abadan, Iran, son of the late Khoda Karam and Bibi Kaed. He was the middle child of 8 siblings: brothers Hashem, Behrooz, Mohamad, Khosro, Parviz, Jamshid, and sister, Ezat. He became a citizen of the United States in 1987 and resided in Charlotte, NC for 34 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cathy Akbari; daughter, Michelle Hollingsworth; son, Eric Akbari; and daughter, Jessica Akbari.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either The American Diabetes Foundation or The Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
