Aiden David Miller CHARLOTTE - Aiden David Miller, age 6, passed away unexpectedly at the Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, NC on Thursday, February 25th. Aiden was a special young boy who brought joy and happiness to everyone he encountered. He loved music, dancing, riding his bike and scooter, fishing, playing games and spending time on Seabrook Island with his family. He loved swimming and was on the Thornhill Tornadoes Swim Team. He also loved baseball and played for the South Charlotte Youth League on the team his father, Matthew, coached. Aiden was a beautiful soul and he had a good heart. He touched so many lives during his short stay on earth. Aiden loved school and was an excellent student who enjoyed reading and sharing all the knowledge he gathered from books with his family. He was a first grader at Endhaven Elementary School and was in Mrs. Rodriquez's class. Aiden loved to laugh and tease and he was good at it from a young age. He also attended Rainbow Station afterschool group and St. Matthew Catholic Church. Aiden loved learning about all things and especially nature. He had many friends at both schools. Aiden is survived by his mother and father, Kelly Kocan Miller and Matthew Miller. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, David J. and Maryanne Kocan, and his paternal grandparents, David and Sandra Miller. Aiden is also survived by his uncle, Jason Kocan of Charleston, SC, his uncles and aunts, Roger and Joyce Davis of Port Clinton, OH., Mark and Carol Svarny of Hermitage, PA, his aunt Alice McDougall of Mansfield, OH. His uncle and aunt, Tracy and Lindsay Miller of Carthage, NC, Bryan and Paula Miller of Southern Pines, NC, and Andy and Sharon Miller of Charlotte, NC. Aiden also had many cousins that he loved and a special bond with his cousin Leah Svarny. Aiden's passing was preceded by his cousin, Robert David Kocan, of St. Augustine, FL in April of 2013. A mass to celebrate Aiden's life will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC on Monday February 29th at 11 AM.
