Albert Sharp Obituary
Mr. Sharp, of Charlotte, died Thursday, December 14, 2006. Born January 10, 1916 in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna Sharp. Mr. Sharp married his wife, Bertha, on June 28, 1941, and served with distinction as a captain during WWII. After his retirement, Albert spend 22 wonderful years in River Bend 'New Bern' NC, until his move to Charlotte. It is said by his neighbors, that he was the life of the party, and a joy to be around. He was, of all things, a survivor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha V. Sharp and brothers, Edward and Merritt. He is survived by his son, A.R. Sharp, Jr. of Charlotte.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Road, Charlotte. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Brian Center, Recreation Fund, 5939 Reddman Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
