So sorry to hear about the passing of "Cotton". One of my favorite business contacts. He taught me so much in my early years some of which I am too shy to admit now. Rest in peace!

When I first went to work for Frank Price at Food One Cotton seemed to be a legend as both a broker and native son of Charlotte. He and Joann were extremely nice to Sam Templeton and me when we were dating. I came up with the pen name Quinn Cotton for a Creative Loafing column I wrote based on Cotton's nickname. The Olde Georgetowne neighbor's will miss his friendly waves as he rode his motorized w/c up and down Whistlestop Rd, with his beloved doggie on a leash at his side. We loved him and wish him sweet rest.❤

Cotton (and Joann) taught me so much about life in the brokerage business and life in general. I'm amazed at the number of times that I repeat things that he said/taught me. I am eternally grateful to have known him. Susan and I are praying for the family.

Cotton was truly one of a kind. Educated many on the art of selling. I always looked forward to being around him. He will be missed but his memories will last.
