Have a candle lit today beside our picture together. I love and miss you Dad, I have all the love and care from over the years to remain in my heart and soul. Thanks for telling Pastor Paul I really wasn't too much trouble when I was feeding you the potato soup in the rehab! I got a big chuckle out of that. Behave up there and I will see you someday. Carol

Will see you someday, Carol

Our family was richly blessed by the time we all shared together. My dad always looked forward to the arrival of Alvin and Venetia when they visited in Camden. Alvin was not only family but a good friend. My father did not feel comfortable driving in Charlotte so he would take me to Alvin and Venetia and Alvin made sure I arrived back on campus safely. Alvin had so many good qualities and will surely be missed by our family.
Thank you for all the wonderful years.

Carol told me before Alvin passed that he said "I am ready to go home." This one statement of his had me reflect on my relationship with the Williams family. Long ago when Carol and I became close friends she would bring me home to her house where Alvin and Venetia lived on Williams Rd. My first memory is how I loved both of their names! The precious memories, never forgotten, are how they always made me feel at home, a stranger in a foreign land having moved to America and learning English. I learned "Southern" through the Williams family and all about tomatoes, lima beans, corn bread and sweetened ice tea. Alvin will always live in my heart. Sending love and peace to all of the Williams family, Alix von Cramon

I was so glad Uncle Alvin made his one trip across the Mason-Dixon Line to come to Ohio. He was one very special Uncle. What stories he could tell. Never forgotten and always will be missed.

I remember him as a friendly neighbor and a sweet man. It was nice to talk to him as I walked down Williams Rd. the last couple of years with my babies. My prayers for the family.

I was so sorry to hear about Alvin. I've been walking down Williams Road for the past 16 years and always spoke with Alvin if he was out in the yard or on the porch. He always had a good story to share about growing up on Williams Rd or he would show me his impressive tomatoes. I truly enjoyed our conversations. Hope you can find comfort in family and friends.

I have so many memories over so many years of my brother and his many kindnesses to me. I loved him and will miss him deeply. I especially will miss him coming to my back door with a basket load of vegetables and stories of when we were small.
