Cecelia Anna "Ceil" Kintrup

1938 - 2017

Cecelia "Ceil" Kintrup, 78, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Carolina's Medical Center, Pineville. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of Fredrick and Pauline Rothwell Augspurger. Ceil retired from Eastern Airlines after working there for more than two decades, this allowed her to travel the world. She travelled extensively to such places as Japan, Moscow for the 1976 Olympics, Hong Kong, China and Hawaii. She also worked for the Charlotte Public School System for a decade.

Ceil enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets with her long time companion, Leslie Jones, he died in February 2000, she also enjoyed genealogy. She is survived by her son Erich Kintrup and his wife Kimberly of Clarksville, TN and a daughter, Lesa Bruce and her husband David of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are four grandchildren, one great grandchild, a sister, Becky Swick of Ohio and her aunt, Marilyn Fortune of Florida.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 PM at the Sylvan Abbey Mausoleum at Forest Lawn East Cemetery., Matthews.
