Christopher Dean "Chris" Andrews

1949 - 2016

Christopher Dean Andrews, son of Dean Riley Andrews and Betty Jean Ingle Andrews all of Concord, NC, quietly departed this life on Saturday July 2nd, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House. He was 67.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Concord from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at Carolina Memorial Park.

Chris was born on March 1st, 1949 in Greensboro, NC. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. On June 19th, 1976 he married Deana Stegall, and together they had 3 children, Christopher Michael, Samuel Dean, and Meredith Grace. Chris served as Vice President and Treasurer at World Fibers Inc., Treasurer of Ingle Protective Systems Inc., and Vice President of World Elastics Inc. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Concord, NC. A gentle soul, Chris was a beloved husband and father, passionate golfer, avid photographer, and astronomer.

In addition to his loving wife Deana Stegall Andrews, he is survived by his brothers Gregory Van Andrews and Mark Alan Andrews. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, Christopher Michael Andrews and wife Jessica, Samuel Dean Andrews and wife Beverly, and Meredith Andrews Hattaway and husband Jon; his seven grandchildren, Ava Rose, Sofia Losada, Avery Elizabeth, Nicolas Michael, Eleanor Grace, Audrey Dean, and Julian Dean "J.D."

The Andrews family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Levine Cancer Center at CMC Main, and would especially like to thank Dr. Michael Grunwald.
