Charlotte, North Carolina - Clayton Jordan Chennault, 18, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on September 16, 2021. Clayton was born in Richardson, TX, on October 31, 2002. Clayton attended Fort Mill High School through 10th grade before transferring to Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, MD, where he graduated in 2021. During his time at Fort Mill High School, Clayton was active in MCJROTC and Beta Club. Clayton was recognized several times in MCJROTC for outstanding citizenship, knowledge of civic responsibility, military orientation, self-discipline, sound work ethic, and even earned the Marksmanship Sharpshooter Award. In addition to his love for soccer, Clayton had a strong passion for music and shared his love of music with others by singing and playing the guitar. He enjoyed vacations with his mom to the beach and visiting with family and friends across the United States. Clayton had an infectious smile that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mom, Cynthia Chennault, father, Kurtis Wininger, brother, Phillip Wininger, sister, Amy Wininger, grandmother, Vicki Chennault, aunt, Theresa Chennault, uncle, Kyle Chennault, many other family members, and a host of life-long friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 4:00 PM followed by receiving of friends at First Baptist Church 301 S. Davidson Street, Charlotte, 28202.
