INDIAN TRAIL -- Mr. Little, 63, of Indian Trail died very suddenly on Tuesday, September 29, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 14, 1947. He relocated to Indian Trail, NC in 2004.
The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Home Weddington/Matthews Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104 on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm and again from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. On Sunday October 3, 2010, the family will once again be receiving well-wishers at the same times. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11:00 am.
Dan was very proud of being a 4th degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus at St. Luke Church. He loved hunting, spending time with his family, John Wayne, 'The Duke,' cooking for his wonderful family, friends and doing volunteer work though the church. He will be greatly missed by all who went out together on Tuesday mornings and all who had the blessing of knowing him.
Dan leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane Little of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Catherine Walsh Little. He was a loving and devoted father to Danny, Kelly and Kristen and caring father-in-law to Karen, Chris and Darrell. Dan was a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren Jessica, Allyson, Christopher, Nicholas, Jacob and Madison. Dan's siblings are Leroy and wife Josephine Little; Karen Howard and husband Tom; Wayne Little and companion Sergio; Virginia Testerverde and husband John; Kathy Segil and husband Neil; Brian and wife Joyce Little; Mary Ellen Sheridan and husband Brian; Lorraine Koudelka and husband Frank and Veronica Werth.
Dan was preceded in death by his father Leroy Little.
