Dr. David Lee Hunter
September 10, 1933 - June 24, 2021
Charlotte, North Carolina - Dr. David Lee Hunter peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday June 24, 2021. He was the son of Annie Lee Hunter and David Ellison.
After graduating from high school, he matriculated at Johnson C. Smith University to pursue a degree in Mathematics. In 1999, CPCC dedicated the David L. Hunter Science Laboratories in his honor. In 2008, he was named Professor Emeritus, Central Piedmont Community College.
David was devoted to God and his family. He was also devoted to educating children and young adults. He enjoyed golf and chess as well as a good laugh, many of which were initiated by his wit. He was steadfast and always ready to lend a hand.
