Eddieola Alexander Williams
Eddieola Alexander Williams joined her parents and older siblings in God's eternal grace on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Home-going services will be held for her on Thursday, September 29 at noon at Memorial Presbyterian Church with burial services to follow at York Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11am-noon at the Church.
Daughter of the late Creola and Richard Alexander, Mrs. Williams was a life-long resident of Charlotte, NC. She graduated from Second Ward High School and received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Home Economics from North Carolina Central University. Mrs. Williams retired from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County School system as a Home Economic teacher dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her students.
Until she became ill, she was an active member of MemorialPresbyterian Church serving in Missionary Circle Number One as well as on the Hospitality Committee and a distinguished member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She lived a life marked by generosity and service.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her three younger brothers: Marcellus Alexander (Agnes); Raymond J. Alexander (Hazeline); and Oscar Alexander (Rhetta); two nephews, Raymond W. Alexander (Inez); and Brian Alexander (Michelle); two nieces, Deremia A. Witherspoon (Willie); and Renee A. Craft (Howard); as well as one great-niece, Ramine Alexander and three great-nephews, James Alexander, Alexster Witherspoon, and Bakari Craft.
Funeral services entrusted to A. E. Grier & Sons.
