I didn't know Elliot, but I have a friend that does. I know how you feel, loosing someone so close to you and everything. I lost one of my really good friends back in November. I'm still not over it. All I can do is hope and pray for her, and everyone else who is suffering. I'm really sorry for your loss and I wish things like this didn't happen. Just know that he is up there with our Father, who will protect him. Elliot, take care and watch over everyone out there who is mourning. They love you so much.

Tim, Kay, Emily:

i cant believe what happened to Elliot. I never would have thought that would happen to him. He was so special and was so kind to everyone. He was the kind of person that everytime he would walk into a room he would just light it up with his smile. Ive known Elliot since the 5th grade and we would play basketball and just hang out at school. He was always there to help people even if he didnt know them. Its such a tradegy that he had to experience all that. But hes in a better place and is shining down on all of us and is watching over us. We will all see him again some day. Just remember, dont cry that Elliot is gone, Smile because of all the things we all shared with him. Keep all the memories close to your heart and they will last a lifetime. i will keep your family in my prayers and close to my heart

Where'd you go, and why'd you leave me

I cant believe that this is happening.

My eyes are red cuz all I do is cry

I miss you every single day that goes by.

And I, And I, And I

I pray for you every single night

That one day I too will get to see the light

And you'll be standing there with a great big grin

At Heavens gates you'll welcome me in.

As I sit in class all day long

It's for you that I write this song

I know I speak for everyone when I say

You'll be in our heart's every single day

And I,And I,And I

I pray for you every single night

That one day I too will get to see the light

And you'll be standing there with a great big grin

At Heavens gates you'll welcome me

Elliot was a awesome guy. I wasn't really that good of a friend of his but everytime I went to homeroom he would talk to everyone and joke around with everyone and he made me feel like I was one of his closest friend. It didn't matter who was around, it seemed as though Elliot was trying to get everyone in a good mood and getting them to have a better day. It's gonna be tough going to homeroom and not hearing Elliots funny remarks and his laugh but he will always be in mine and everyone elses hearts forever and wont ever be forgotten. We miss you Elliot. God Bless

Elliot was one of those guys that everyone loved..i mean how could you not love him he was perfect in everyway. I've known Elliot since the 5th grade, me and him used to play basketball together at recess at Bethel. He is truthfully one of the best guys that i have ever met, and he will never be forgotten. He was one of those guys who always left a smile on your face, and always made you feel better in times when you were down. And i know that he is shinning down on us from heaven. God just had a bigger plan for him, and one day we will be lucky enough to see him again. I will keep the Thomas's, Amanda, and Tim in my prayers, and everyone else who know him. I know that their are no words to decribe the loss that yall are going through, and i know i cant really relate but yall are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you! Elliot you have touched many lifes, we were all blessed to even know you! We love you Elliot!

To the Family members of Elliot Thomas,

Elliot was a great guy. He was always there for anybody when they asked. He always made people laugh, and always brightened up a room. You could juss tell that he was going to heaven when u met him. Nothing about him was ungodly b/c everything he did was affected by his religion. So there is no doubt in my mind he is in heaven enjoying hisself fully and watching down upon yall and the rest of his friends. Elliot will be missed by many but not forgotten by all. I hope and pray that yall will find strength in prayer and in faith to deal with your loss of Elliot, but always remember he is in a better place now crying b/c of how bad we have it down here. But keep strong in the faith of the Lord and u will soon see him again w/o a doubt.

Elliot Thomas: missed by many, loved by all

Tim and Kay,

I was so very sorry to hear about Elliott. Seems like just yesterday when Kay and Karen Williams and I were all pregnant at the same time years ago at Mid-South. I heard about the huge outpouring of support at Elliott's services and wish I could have been there. Please know my prayers are with you and your daughter. From all the reports, he touched many hearts and will not be forgotten! I take comfort in knowing that he is with your loved ones and mine in heaven.

Take care and let me hear from you sometime.

Kay, Tim, Emily: I can't put into words how I feel about all of this, nor can I even begin to imagine that this is real. Even though we weren't very close, I've known Elliot my whole life. Being around him made me smile, and talking to him made me realize what a down to earth person he was. I have seen you all over the past week and am continually amazed at your strength. I know that Elliot is with us in our hearts and will watch over his mother, father, and baby sister. He loves all of you more than you can imagine and will continue to love you for the rest of your lives. Emily, let your heart guide you because Elliot is in there and he will help you forever. Never forget that his love will not fade. I love you all and I will continue to pray for you in this hard time.

~Let his spirit live on.~

Make every day count and love each other as much as God loves you.

Thomas family, im very sorry about Elliot...I grew up with him and he has and will always be a kind soul. Even if he didnt know you and he could tell you were having a bad day he would try to bring a smile on your face. I will never forget the laughs I had in Bible class and even spanish with him this year. He is greatly loved and will never be forgotten.

Kay, Tim, and Emily,

You have been in my prayers everyday and will continue to be in them. There are so many people out there thinking of you right now. I just wanted you to know that I love you so much. You are like my second family to me knowing all of you almost my whole life. I'll never forget the trip we went on together, the birthday parties when us kids were little, the dinner outings with our families, and so much more. I love you so much and i'll miss that special buddy of mine. His smile was so contagious and could fill a room with happiness. He will be missed.

Love Always..many hugs and kisses

This doesn't seem real. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting with Elliot and the rest of the JV boys basketball team on the bus to one of our many away games. He always threw out something to make me laugh. I used to sit behind the bench durring the game and give all the boys their water and towels and an occasional band-aid and some of the boys gave me a little heck...but Elliot was always the sweetest one, smiling and helping me do whatever with no complaints. Everytime I saw him after that basketball season he made sure to say hey to me and see how I was. My prayer's go out to The Thomas' and to Amanda. It is never easy losing someone but it is just hard to understand why someone with such a carring heart and wonderful personality was taken so abruptly from us. I know he will always be shining down on us every day. Thanks Elliot for every smile you brought to us...you will always be remembered.

"My soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:20-23

I have known Elliot since middle school, and just like everyone says if you were to say the name Elliot Thomas and ask what the first thing that popped into everyone's head was they would say his winning smile. He could brighten up a room. I remember last year at basketball games he played a lot, and when he came out of the game for a little break every now and then he was one sweaty guy! We'd throw two towels at him sometimes just because we knew he would need them. He could have just gone in for maybe 30 seconds, but you better believe he played hard and worked up a sweat. Salem, Cyndal, and I would all tease him because he was so sweaty and he would simply cast that little half smile at us and we'd laugh. Elliot was a great guy and he will NEVER be forgotten. I will continue to pray for the Thomas' that God would ease the pain and suffering they are experiencing right now. "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27 God Bless...

The Thomas Family:

We all miss Elliot soo much. I knew Elliot through school, we had numerous classes together. He had the most wondeful personality and he could always make anybody laugh. He always knew how to brigten a persons days and he made people feel good about themselves. He touched the lives of so many people and he will never be forgotten. I know this is really hard to go through, but I know God is with you and you all are in my thoughts and prayers. We all miss him so much, and the best thing you can do is just take it one step at a time. Elliot will never be forgotten. God Bless~

I am not even sure what exactly to say. I never met Elliot or knew him at all. But I know many people who loved him and that is why I am writing this. I cannot think of a better legacy than all these lives that have been touched so deeply and influenced so positively. I know that he was a brother to many even outside his family, and he had to have been an incredible son. Your family has been in my prayers this week and will continue to be through this time of healing.

Elliot was like a little brother. He was goofy and good spirited. He would always do what he could to get a rise out of me because he could, but he was just so good-natured about it. Elliot was one of the few people I have ever known who never raised his voice or spoke in anger or hatred. He had a kind heart and welcoming smile. I miss him, and I won't forget him. He's someone who inspires me to lead a more Christ-like life. May he always be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.

I'll never forget the bus rides I shared with Elliot in middle school. Whenever he wasn't riding the bus, I wouldn't want to either. He always made me laugh and we became really close..I still have one of his jackets because one day when i was cold, Elliot gave it to me and i never gave it back. Thats the kind of person he was, and its very hard to come to terms with the fact that hes gone. Basketball last year with Elliot was awesome. He was always so sweaty and when he gave his towel back to me, it was drenched! He never failed to make me smile and he was one of the greatest guys Ive ever met..Emily- I lost my sister when i was a little younger than u in a car accident too..I know what ur going through and I want you to know that Im here for you if you ever need anyone to talk to. I mean that, please dont hesitate to call me or ask your mom to. Youve been on my mind since I found out because I was once in your place. Very few people are unfortunate enough to understand how it feels, but I do. Im praying for you guys everday and dont forget that my family is living proof that you will make it. It's hard, but possible..Elliot will never be forgotten, in your hearts or mine.

Emily, Tim and Kay: I would just like to tell you how much Elliot meant to me. Growing up with him and knowing him practically my entire life, I've been able to realize everything he did for me. He was a great guy and I would hope that everyone could have a friend as good as him. He gave me many times of laughter that I will always remember, but he was also there for me during times I needed him. Many times people say this sort of thing teaches us to say I love you more, but that's not what comes to mind when I think of Elliot. I don't think I ever had a friend who told me he loved me more than Elliot. Continue on in the strength that he touched so many people and loved you every much. As someone who often heard him speak of you, I knew how much he loved you and escpecially how much he adored you, Emily. God bless you.

Superman is a hero, but only in comic books.

Monnie Python is a comedian, but only on the big screen.

Elliot was a person, in real life. He smilled, laughed, and kept things real. I haven't known Elliot since the day he was born. We only shared one class together and that was weight training. Elliot was special, their was something about the way he walked, talked, but most of all the way he acted. Calm and collected, all the time. I wish their was something I could have done, I wish Elliot was still here with all of us, but it can't be. God loves Elliot, as do I, and I always will. God called on his son to come home and I know Elliot put up no fight. I have realized that this world isn't exactly the best place to be, but their is greener grass on the other side. Remember, that if Elliot was always their for you, he is even more so now. I can't wait till the day when I shall see that grin on Elliot again. I will always miss that big grin, and the realism he brought to the table. Their will always be a special place in my heart for the family, and legacy of Elliot Grayson Thomas. We love you Elliot, and we'll never foreget you.

As for Emily, Kay, and Tim, I love you also, and you shall be in my thoughts and prayers. We must live our lives to the fullest. I guarantee you, we will see Elliot again someday, because God promised us and I believe.

Elliot was an outstanding person. He had a way of making the room a bit brighter, and a bit happier, just by being there. Goodbye is never an easy word to say, but know that Elliot is in Heaven watching over us now with God by his side. And we will all one day be with him...so this is not goodbye, just see you later! I know i was angry at first because i didn't understand, and i didn't want it to be true. But God has a plan and a purpose for everyone! Elliot was truly loved and will truly be missed. I will forever keep his smile in my heart! God took a great one and he will never be forgotten for his spirit lives on in all of us! Im sorry for your loss! God is with you in this time of need!

I went to school with Elliot my 9th and most of my 10th grade year until now. Although I didn't know him as much as alot of other people at my school, I knew he was loved and greatly appreciated by everyone he came in contact with. I cannot remember of anyone every disliking Elliot; he was that kind of person. He was an athlete at Central Cabarrus and a very good athlete at that, never a false attitude during a game. He always brought leadership and hope to the team. Elliot will be greatly missed and appreciated for everything he has done and made during his time here with us. Im sorry for his family and Amanda's family, and for everyone else he has touched, they have lost one of the nicest person most of us will ever meet. Im sorry Amanda everyone is here for you.

Thomas family~

I am so sorry about Elliot. I met him at Bethel when I was in Kindergarten and I always thought he was the coolest kid in the whole school. I really looked up to him. We didn't talk much, and when we met again at the Fassetts we didn't remember each other, but even with my knowing of him I knew he was a GREAT guy. I pray for you everyday, and in my prayer I hope that you find relief knowing that Elliot is up with God in Heaven now, where everything is perfect. I also pray that God will heal the wound that this tragic happening has made.

God Bless you all.

Dear Tim

My heart is heavy for you ,Kay and your family. I wish I could not say I know how you feel but you know I do. No words will make it easier and time will only dull the pain. The comfort you will feel will come from above and not our human words. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and the days ahead. My son would have been 33 tomorrow (17th) and it truly seems like yesterday. I often wonder why these things happen but I realize it is not ours to know. We will never understand and accepting is not easy because we are only humans. I will keep you in my prayers. - Phyllis
