Eric Spanjer

Eric Rochat Spanjer CHARLOTTE - Eric was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 13, 1971 and passed away on September 6, 2012 in Charlotte, NC. Eric attended Carmel Jr. High and Providence H.S. and graduated with honors from Gaston Community College in 2005. He was employed by Rauch Industries in Gastonia and Carotek in Charlotte and several other companies during the past years. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Dunham Spanjer of Macon, Ga., his father, Robert R. Spanjer and wife Gloria of Indian Land, S.C., his brother, David R. Spanjer of New York City, step brother, James McCain and step sister, Angela Marks as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. He enjoyed being "Uncle Ewic" to his nephew, Dylan Marks. As a teenager Eric was an avid skateboarder. He enjoyed reading, music, animals and was an exercise enthusiast. Eric never met a stranger and always had a smile and word of encouragement for everyone. He will be missed by a wide circle of friends whom will treasure the memories of times spent with him. A life remembrance will be held at the home of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Willingham in Macon, Georgia on September 12th. Special friends gathered in Charlotte on September 8th to honor Eric's memory and offer support to his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice.
