Dear Ann and family,
Frank married us in Radford in 1966, and we will never forget how very special he made that day. As I have followed his career over the years, I have been so impressed by his dedication to the Episcopal Church and most of all, by his love and appreciation for all of God's children. I am honored to have known him, even for a short time.

Ann, my prayers nad deepest sympathy to you and your family on Frank's recent death.
I have thought of you both over many years since Frank was a seminarian at Truro Church in Fairfax and I was welcomed into your home when Frank was at Grace Church in Radford.
May the Lord comfort you in your loss.

Ann, we prayed for Frank at The Church of the Epiphany in Washington on Sunday, and I will include both of you in the prayers at the Eucharist tomorrow. I have many wonderful memories of you and Frank - at General Convention, in New Orleans, and, of course, in the Diocese of Southern Virginia. I was proud to claim Frank as my bishop. I wish I could be with you tomorrow, but I am always available if you need me.

Dear Ann;
I join the many in the Diocese of Southern Virginia who share your sorrow at the passing of Frank, great Bishop and friend to us all. When my husband died, Frank's voice was the first to offer condolences via phone. It was a great comfort and I will never forget his care and concern at that critical time in my life.
My prayers, love and sympathy are with you and your family.

Ann,

I remember you and Frank from my Air Force days in Bedford, then as a KA Brother at Roanoke College. My wife and I attended Christ Church in Roanoke when Frank was the Rector there. I've always had the greatest respect for him. He was a true leader and will be missed.

Ann and Family,
My heart is heavy with sorrow at the passing of one of the most inspirational and compassionate men I have ever known. Frank will forever live in my heart as the one who guided me through the most difficult ime in my life. And, to his credit he made one summer at Hemlock Haven most memorable when he asked me to be a cabin counselor and promised we would laugh, fish and play golf. And, we did! Grace Episcopal in Radford still retains the quality and character brought to us by Frank. It must be comforting to know his inspiration continues in the hearts of so many.

Ann and Family,
My daughters and I are saddened by the news of the passing of Bishop Vest. I remember like it was yesterday when he came to Grace Church, Norfolk to ordain my late husband Jesse to the priesthood. May God continue to richly bless you and your family through these difficult times. You, too, Ann were an inspiration to me.

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life."

In 1959, I graduated from Roanoke College with Frank. I will always remember his warm personality. During his tenure in Radford, I occasionally ran into him. Renewing our acquaintance was always a pleasure. My sympathy goes out to the family. We all know that this man of God's reward will be great in Heaven.

The Episcopal community was truly blessed to have Bishop Vest as a spiritual leader and a friend. His many contributions will live on in the good work of those whose lives he inspired. My remembrances of Bishop Vest will remain with me as I keep Ann and his family in my prayers.

I am saddened by the passing of my friend Bishop Vest. When we were both very much younger he was very kind to me and was instrumental in bringing me into the Episcopal Church. My thoughts are with Ann and the family.
