I just happened upon this. I knew Fred at NC State when we were so very young. He was so talented and so kind and I enjoyed his friendship. I still treasure my large owl print and- came across hard board photos today that he used in one of his projects. Those that live on in memories never die. My memories of Fred are dear to me.

Candace, I happened on this obituary by chance. I'm so sorry for your loss. I still have that beautiful owl picture created by Fred. You gave it to me when I bought the house in Belmont. Sincere sympathy, Stephanie Ryan

Fred, I'm sure heaven is a more beautiful place with you there. God Bless.
