Garrett Westmark Obituary

Garrett Westmark
January 8, 1980 - December 3, 2020
Austin, Texas - Garrett Westmark is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Virginia (Jenny) Westmark (Howell), his three adored children, Jorja 13, Chance 9, and Corbin 7, his precious dog, Daisy, both of his parents, his grandparents, and many extended family members. Garrett wanted nothing more in life than to give his wife and children the world and his passing came as a painful shock. Garrett not only helped everyone he met in big and small ways, he was also the most loving and revered husband, THE best daddy, a respectful son, an admired friend, a brilliant cook, a soccer player, and a hardworking truck driver of 13 years. Quick to share a meal, a beer, a great song, and a laugh, Garrett was fun and had a reputation for his sociable nature since early childhood. Garrett had a serious love of people from every walk of life and wanted to put everyone at ease and remind them that they were loved. He attended Tate High School in Pensacola, FL, matriculated from the University of West Florida, and was a US Marine where he made many lifelong friends before entering the trucking industry. His wife, Jenny, will be hosting a Zoom Memorial on Saturday, December 19th from 7-9pm CST. For the Zoom link, please contact Jenny via email, social media, or phone. To eulogize Garrett, please prepare up to a 2-minute story, poem, joke, song lyric, or passage according to your religious preference and let Jenny know to add you to the Zoom schedule of speakers. Garrett's family has set up a GoFundMe page to assist his wife Jenny, and their three young children navigate this tragic time. https://gf.me/u/zbk8kf From "Sweetpea," Jorja, Chance, Corbin, and Daisy, we love you.

Honey, I miss you so much. I miss talking to you every day. I miss venting about the stresses of life and having 3 kids around me 24/7. I miss your cooking. I miss your goofy laugh. I miss watching movies on the couch when the kids were in bed and you scratching my legs while we cracked jokes about the movies and tried to make each other laugh. I miss life with you. I love you.

Well I didnt know Garrett I do know Jenny. Jenny has always been sweet and nice to me even when she didn't know me or even had to acknowledge me (I worked at HEB.) She was always happy and kind even when she was busy and in a hurry! But who wants to spend their day grocery shopping!? I always thought she was a woman who took great pride in caring for her family. And to do that in the way I've seen her I've always thought she had a loving and supportive husband and family. I know Garrett will be greatly missed! I know he will live on in their hearts forever. I hope the loving memories will help ease the pain. My prayers for you all. I'm so sorry you all are going through this.
