Gary Seigler Obituary
Gary was born January 19, 1937 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Frank Hawkins and Flossie Blackwell Hawkins. He was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1955 and served his country in the U.S. Navy for twenty-two years. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked for General Electric for twenty-one years as a field service representative. He was an animal lover and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and tinkering with electronics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Helene Y. Seigler.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Christine Seigler Brunelle and son-in-law, Shawn Brunelle of Charlotte and Sandra Seigler also of Charlotte and a grandson, Curtis Ianni of Charlotte.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Friends of Feral Felines, P.O. Box 473385, Charlotte, NC 28247.
