Matthews, North Carolina - Georgia Pouler was born on April 28th, 1922, in Greenville, South Carolina. Her parents were Andrew and Stavroula Theodore.

She was raised in Greenville and lived there until 1947, when she married Aemil Pouler and moved to Washington, DC. Georgia devoted much of her life in Washington to family, church, community, and work.

She was involved in fundraising and charitable activities for Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, the Miss Maryland Pageant, and the American Heart Association. She was an officer in the Avondale Citizens Association for many years. She worked for Citizens Bank of Maryland (now Truist). Significant in her career is that she was one of the first woman bank managers in the Washington area.

In 2001, Georgia and Aemil moved to Matthews. She became active at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church. She was one of the organizers of the senior group called Young at Heart. In addition, she joined the Matthews Women's Club, serving as secretary.

Aemil passed away in 2009. Georgia is proud of her family-son Chris, granddaughter Christina Marie, grandson Christopher and his wife Melissa. Her family all live in the Charlotte area. Her youngest brother, Nick Theodore survives her in Greenville, SC.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 11:00am until 11:30am with funeral services beginning at 11:30am at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
