Harry Alley Obituary
Mr. Alley, 84, of Charlotte, died Sunday, June 22, 2008. He was born January 24, 1924 to the late Stanley and Katherine Alelyunaus in Camden, NJ. He served as a Lieutenant in the Navy and worked as a chemical engineer for Dupont for over 30 years before moving to Charlotte in 2005 from Delmar, MD.
Harry is survived by his wife, Mary Helen; and his four children, Patricia A. Lewis and her husband Barry of Gastonia, Priscilla J. Tamargo of Charlotte, Debbie Alley and partner Beth Campbell of Normal, IL, and Harry James Alley and his wife Melody of Kitty Hawk.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, at Aldersgate Retirement Community, Ray Hall Community Center, 3800 Shamrock Drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.

I knew Harry in Seaford and was a colleague in Uentrop. We did not always agree but there was never any doubt as to where he stood. I lost Helen in February. So I have some empathy for you at this time

Aunt Moe and my cousins, Patricia, Priscilla, Debbie and Harry (Jim),
My sincerest sympathies. Uncle Harry was my favorite uncle, always so kind and concerned with my welfare. Though I have not seen him since he moved to NC, he would keep in touch via e-mail. He was a good man and a wonderful friend. I will miss him deeply. May God Bless you all.

Although I do not know Mr. Alley, I know Priscilla, his daughter. She spoke so highly of her dad. I'm certain he will be sorely missed. Priscilla and family, I am so sorry for your loss. If I can do anything, please let me know.
