I only lately learned of Harry's death and I'm so sorry. When I knew him, in the 70's, he was still racing. He hired me as part of the Zink Mfg. team. He was a stand-up guy who treated everyone fairly and well. RIP Harry.

Geri, Tripp, Mary and extended family, my sincerest sympathies to you all on the loss of Harry. We were friends in our late teens and early to mid-twenties but then sort of lost touch. We would cross paths on occasion and catch up and then busy with our respective lives. I was present at John's funeral and had a long talk with Harry at that time. I have 2 sons 45 and 43 so I empathized with his pain. Harry was really a fine man with a great smile. I recall only to well traveling with a few others to some of Harry's races. Especially to a gymkhana in the N.C. mountains. I borrowed my brother's car for the trip and driving back with a vehicle full of people, the car got stuck in 2nd gear. I drove all the way back to Charlotte in 2nd gear. My brother still reminds me of that day. "May Harry's Memory Be Eternal" and I wish a long, healthy and prosperous life to Harry's loved ones left behind.

Oh Geri, I say again, I am crying with you. Without question, Harry is remembered by all of us lucky enough to be his friend as a wonderful, kind and gentle man... because he was. Integrity above reproach, a truly elite sportsman, a loving wife and family... he had it all and treated it properly and well. Harry will be greatly missed but we must thank God for sharing him with us for 80 years and then leaving us with such great and fond, forever memories. He assuredly rests in peace.
