Iris Kimble
September 27, 1929 - December 3, 2022
Charlotte, North Carolina - Iris N. Kimble, daughter of the late Jennie T. and Horton E. Kimble died December 3, 2022. Her brother Fitchie R. Kimble and half-brother, Horton E. Kimble predeceased her. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Iris grew up in Stamford and graduated from Stamford High ('46) and the University of Connecticut ('50).
Iris was an ordained Elder and Deacon in First Presbyterian Church of Stamford and Sharon Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, NC. She worked in retail advertising in Stamford, NY City, and Charlotte, retiring from Belk Store Services in 1955.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday December 8th at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte with a reception to follow. Interment will be at First Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens in Stamford, CT at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Sharon Presbyterian Church or Sharon Towers Residents' Assistance Fund would be appreciated.

My Sunday School teacher in Stamford, a dear, dear life long friend of my mother and father, Dorothy and Bill Bland, and somebody I've kept in touch with since I was a child. Rest in Peace, Iris. The world has gained a new angel!!!
